Tawaif borrows the name of the courtesan tradition of Mughal-era South Asia, and it trades in dance, not hardcore, mujra, bar dance and the erotic performance styles with a long history in the region. Nothing here is explicit in the Western sense, so anyone arriving from the rest of the network expecting sex will be thrown. It is a genuinely different register, closer to striptease and cultural performance than to porn, shot in HD. The catch is age, the front-page material dating to 2022, so it looks dormant. Pricing is its own, $14.95 a month down to $8.33 a month on the year. A curiosity for anyone specifically after South Asian erotic dance, and beside the point for anyone else.
